FULL IMMERSION COURSE IN ADVANCED IMPLANTOLOGY
Cadaver Lab – ICLO Verona
Date: April 17-18th
Speaker: Dr. Andrea Enrico Borgonovo
Language: English
ABSTRACT
This full-immersion course provides advanced surgical training in implantology, focusing on extra-maxillary solutions for the severely atrophic maxilla. Participants will receive theoretical and practical instruction in the use of Fixo Zygoma one-piece zygomatic implants and pterygoid implants, both designed for immediate loading protocols without grafting. The course includes extensive cadaver lab sessions to improve anatomical familiarity, surgical technique, and clinical confidence in handling complex full-arch rehabilitation cases.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES Gain a detailed understanding of the anatomical and surgical principles of the zygomatic and pterygoid regions.
Learn the biomechanics and clinical indications for Fixo Zygoma implants (flat design) and pterygoid implants.
Perform implant placement on cadaver specimens, simulating real surgical scenarios. Explore advanced full-arch rehabilitation techniques in severely atrophic cases.
Enhance decision-making and complication management skills in extra-maxillary implant surgery.
